College Webplates was started by a Penn State University student who felt there was a need to provide students with a professional online identify to which they could market their degree and job skills.
Many services currently available require students to be familiar with general web design. This is a skill which takes time to develop. Furthermore, most traditional web development companies charge a price way beyond what is affordable for this service (e.g. $2000).
Thus, College Webplates was started to provide students with a valuable service which can help them with their professional pursuits.
